Man caught flytipping in Dyfi Forest claimed he shot rabbits. CCTV and quick guilty plea revealed the truth.

Waste subsequently appeared at the site. Officials reviewed the video and identified Hamilton using the truck’s license plate.
Hamilton, 31, lives on Newtown Road, Machynlleth. Initially, he denied dumping waste, claiming he was shooting rabbits. He stated that he only stayed for a few minutes each visit.
Hamilton later changed his story and admitted to illegally dumping waste. NRW took him to court in Aberystwyth on February 4.
He received a £600 fine for the waste, reduced to £400 due to his quick guilty plea. He also received a £225 fine, reduced to £150, for breaking a byelaw, and a £220 surcharge. Additionally, he paid £1,500 for court costs, bringing his total expenses to £2,270.
Neil Harrison, who leads Fly-Tipping Action Wales, stated that they are committed to fighting illegal dumping and protecting the natural environment. His staff investigates and prosecutes offenders.
