Okay, so there was a car crash in Eccles on a Sunday. It happened on February 23rd. The car smashed into a building, and it made people leave their homes.

A gas leak happened after the crash. Police and fire trucks came to Liverpool Road and found a wrecked car. Its front was totally crushed. Bricks flew everywhere because of the impact.

Police told some people to stay inside as witnesses saw people running away. The crash caused a gas leak, and they closed Liverpool Road while dealing with it. The street had bricks and other mess all over.

Police caught five people pretty far away in Cheshire. They arrested three men and two women. Two women and two men were in the car, and all four are in their 30s and 40s. They drove dangerously and didn’t stop, and they also damaged property.

Another man was the getaway driver, police think. He is also in his 30s or 40s. The police arrested him for drunk driving. A neighbor saw someone exit the car.

That neighbor called the police and the fire department because the leaking gas smelled horrible. A shop owner heard a loud bang and saw pieces flying off the car. Another person said bricks were everywhere, and a post was destroyed, too.

Officers told people to stay put while emergency workers checked out the damaged building. People returned home later, and the police opened the road again.
