A four-storey building caught fire on Victoria Street, Paignton. Firefighters extinguished the blaze; all residents safe.

Firefighters got called to Victoria Street on Saturday, February 15. The Devon and Somerset fire service answered the call involving a four-story building on fire.
Eight fire engines showed up, and six firefighters battled the flames. More support came to Victoria Street as crews worked to put out the large fire.
Around 8 AM, things got better, and the fire was already out. Firefighters stayed to cool things down and checked for any hidden embers.
Six firefighters used breathing gear, and they used water hoses to spray water. An aerial ladder helped them, too, as the fire burned on the third floor.
Police and ambulances also arrived, and everyone inside got out safely. All residents are now accounted for; this is what we know.
The crews worked hard and stopped the fire, ensuring it’s all gone out now. Because everyone got out of the building safe, the property is now separated, and businesses can open as usual.
