The FBI wanted Daniel Andreas San Diego for over 20 years. Authorities suspected him of terrorism, and the FBI considered him a “most wanted fugitive.” This involved bombings in San Francisco back in 2003.

San Diego, now 47, appeared in court at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. He wore a gray prison shirt and pants and confirmed his personal details. He is fighting extradition to the United States.

Officers detained San Diego last November. The National Crime Agency led the arrest. Counter Terrorism Policing and North Wales Police assisted, and he was caught in Conwy, North Wales. He remains in custody now.

The FBI connected San Diego to animal rights extremists and offered $250,000 for information leading to his arrest. San Diego was born in Berkeley, California, says the FBI.

Two bombs exploded in Emeryville on August 28, 2003, and they targeted a biotechnology firm. The blasts occurred about an hour apart. The FBI reported these details earlier.

A bomb exploded in Pleasanton on September 26, 2003. This bomb was strapped with nails, and the target was a nutritional products company. This information came from a wanted poster.

San Diego was indicted in July 2004 in California’s Northern District court. The indictment concerned his alleged involvement in the bombings. His extradition hearing is set for September 8.
