A man died after a crash involving a lorry on the A90 near Laurencekirk. Two others were rushed to hospital.

The crash occurred near Laurencekirk, in Aberdeenshire, at about 10:20 am Wednesday. Emergency services, including a helicopter, rushed there after reports of the accident. A silver van and a grey truck had crashed.
A 62-year-old man, a passenger in the van, died at the scene. The 43-year-old driver of the van was airlifted to an Aberdeen hospital for treatment.
The 52-year-old truck driver was taken to a Dundee hospital, but his condition is currently unknown. The road was closed for approximately twelve hours as police investigated the scene.
Sergeant David Cooper stated that their thoughts are with the family. They are seeking to understand the circumstances of the crash and are appealing for witnesses to come forward, even if they haven’t already spoken to police.
