Road work is coming to Farnham. This Surrey town’s center is getting an upgrade. The project will happen in stages.

They already started improvements near the river. Work on Riverside and Borelli Walk is underway. Phase two starts February 17th, a Monday. Castle and West Streets will see big changes. Expect traffic delays for a couple weeks.

Castle Street will get a new right turn lane. The Borough will have traffic flowing both ways. Traffic islands near Downing Street are going away. Temporary traffic lights will control the flow.

Surrey Highways warns drivers to expect delays. Overnight closures run from 8 PM to 6 AM. A detour will guide drivers then. People can still walk on sidewalks.

Cyclists must walk their bikes on sidewalks. Buses will still run on their regular schedule. Early and late buses will have assistance. More changes start in early March.

Downing Street might have lane closures. Expect disruptions during this phase. Work should wrap up in Autumn 2026.
