A look at cases where sons have mirrored their fathers’ or brothers’ criminal paths, repeating offenses.

Elliot Ashton, 22, went to jail for slashing a man at a gym. This happened at the David Lloyd’s in Speke, and the cut went from his mouth to his ear. Six years prior, his brother Cameron Ashton knifed a man there, too.
The Fitzgibbons are another example of repeated behavior. A judge warned Ian Fitzgibbon Jr. not to copy his heroin-trafficking dad. Back in July, Ian Jr. got nearly fifteen years for EncroChat crimes. He wasn’t the first to copy his dad, and he likely won’t be the last one either.
Elliot Ashton copied his brother’s crime by slashing a gym worker without warning. The victim needed seventy-six stitches. His brother did the same crime six years prior.
