Lenny Scott died after being shot by a gym on Peel Road in Skelmersdale on Thursday, February 8 last year. Lenny was 33 years old and from Prescot.

Emergency services tried to help Lenny. Sadly, he died later in the hospital. Police started a murder investigation quickly, and Anthony Cleary, 28, and Elias Morgan, 35, both from Edge Hill, were charged.

The trial for both men will be later this year. To mark one year since his death, Lenny’s family shared another tribute to him, describing him as a loving and amazing dad.

The family said they miss Lenny very much and still wonder why this happened to him. He was a good, hardworking, strong, and funny man, and their lives feel very empty without him near.

They thanked everyone for their support and Lancashire Police for their hard work as they work to get justice for Lenny, and the family truly appreciates all of the help.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Wilson leads the investigation. Two people will face trial in June related to Lenny’s murder, and the major incident room is still actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Police ask anyone with information to contact them by calling 101 and quoting log 1155 of 9th February 2024. You can contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111 or submit information directly online.
