Family of Campbell Scott, found dead in Kenya, arrive for autopsy. Police investigate murder of the Scottish director.

Campbell was from Dunfermline, Scotland. His family traveled to Kenya for his autopsy, which was scheduled for today.
Police have arrested two men – a taxi driver and a waiter – and are investigating the 58-year-old man’s death.
News reports indicate that the family arrived on Wednesday and were updated on the case. The autopsy is in Makueni; its findings will assist the police investigation.
Police are classifying the death as murder, although the exact cause is still unknown. Preliminary indications suggest he may have been strangled or hit on the head.
Police are confident they will apprehend the killer. Scott was last seen on February 16 at a Nairobi hotel while attending a conference. The homicide unit is leading the investigation.
A police spokesman described the crime as appalling and acknowledged the probe’s complexity. A special unit is now in charge, and authorities are determined to uncover the truth and hold those responsible accountable.
The homicide unit is part of the Kenyan CID. A local chief noted that Scott appeared tortured and his body was in poor condition, prompting swift action. His hands were tied, and his body was placed in a sack filled with pineapples.
Campbell worked as a senior director for a credit firm. He arrived in Nairobi on February 15 for a business trip. He was last seen on February 16 with a mystery man at a nightclub.
CCTV footage captured his last movements, showing him walking through a car park wearing a Scotland rugby shirt. Police are searching for the unidentified man, suspecting he lured Scott to his death.
CCTV caught him with Scott before his disappearance. Police believe the man booked a taxi that took Scott to a city slum.
The Foreign Office is assisting Scott’s family and maintaining contact with Kenyan officials.
