A man was arrested after police found cannabis. His ex-girlfriend made a malicious complaint against him to the police.

Police found cannabis during the search. Though the claims were false, they found drugs. They discovered cannabis in tubs and a bag. Cannabis was also in an ice tray. Loose cannabis was in the living room.
He was first arrested for dealing drugs, but the charge was later changed. He was then charged with possessing cannabis, which Valimohamed admitted in court on Monday, March 3.
His lawyer, Ishtiaq Sarwar, spoke for him, explaining Valimohamed was arrested because of his ex and held for weeks. The other case was dropped. He smoked lots of cannabis then, using it due to his mental health.
Sarwar said he has ADHD, anxiety, and depression, as well as a personality disorder. He now takes real medicine and no longer smokes cannabis.
Valimohamed is jobless because of his health. Sarwar asked for a conditional discharge, but the court fined Valimohamed instead. He must pay an £80 fine, £85 court costs, and a £32 victim surcharge.
