Big explosions happened in Sheffield early this morning. The Daily Star spoke with a witness. They said these blasts came from a factory demolition in the city’s northwest area.

The witness wanted to stay anonymous. They saw towers on Clay Wheels Lane get destroyed. This demolition shook buildings all over Sheffield. The witness also filmed the whole thing.

The witness wasn’t sure why they demolished it, but mentioned they might build something new there. It happened around 8 AM on Sunday, March 2nd. People got worried and posted on X (Twitter).

The towers were very tall. People as far as Highbury heard the noise, along with Oughtibridge, Wisewood, and Walkley residents. One person described the noise as “huge explosions.”

Someone else asked on X what the explosions were. Another person wrote about bangs near Hillsborough, saying four bangs shook their house, and that smoke went everywhere.

The video shows the towers falling slowly. Blasts caused the collapse, and dust clouds rose as they hit the ground. Car alarms sounded after it happened; only dust remained.
