Forty new affordable homes, including low rent and shared ownership options, are coming to Exeter’s Blakeslee Drive.

There will be forty homes in total. Twenty-two homes have super low rents. The rest will use shared ownership. You buy part of the house, then rent what’s left.
LiveWest will manage the whole thing. They’re a housing association, so they know their stuff. They already manage many affordable homes in the Exeter area. The council is really happy about this project.
One council member called it fantastic news. Usually, only 35% of new homes need to be affordable. LiveWest’s Gareth Jones mentioned how they’re paying for it.
Homes England will provide the funding needed. Another council member is pleased LiveWest is building them. Originally, they had permission to build normal houses. Then they asked to make them completely affordable. The council agreed without any hesitation.
