Police look into a report in Exeter. Three men acted suspiciously in a park. They tried to lure children into a car. This happened Tuesday afternoon in Alphington.

A mom shared details on Facebook, stating her child was involved and warning other parents. She reported this event to the police.

Her son and two girls were in a park when three men, arriving in a car, tried to kidnap them, she said. One man entered the Exeter park, while another waited by the park’s gate.

One man took the kids’ coat and phones, telling them to come to the car for their things. A friend’s dad drove by, stopped, and got out.

The man gave back the coat and phone, saying, “This isn’t what it looks like!” The men drove away quickly. The mom wants parents to be careful and is thankful the kids stayed safe, but she is very shaken by this.

She described one man with a tattoo, another man had a cut on his face. Police confirmed the report, having gotten a call at 5:15 PM.

The incident occurred on Loram Way in Alphington and involved three males acting suspiciously. The men spoke to children from two cars.

Officers searched the Alphington area but did not find the vehicles. Police continue investigating and want to understand what happened.

Police ask for information and request people to call 101, or visit their website and quote log 555 from February 25th.
