Local business leaders will participate in a Jail and Bail event to raise money for Childrens Hospice South West.

People will be “arrested.” They face fictional crime charges. They must raise £999 “bail.” This money frees them from “jail.”
Kate Romo organizes CHSW events. She invites people to join “Jail and Bail,” because people jailed will need help. They need family and business support. This helps them raise bail fast.
Last year’s event raised over £8,000. This supported Children’s Hospice South West. CHSW cares for kids with serious illnesses. They also support their families. The charity has three hospices. Little Bridge House helps 30 Exeter families.
Todd Gifford joined last year’s event. He supports Children’s Hospice South West. He was glad to offer care. The experience was amazing, he said, even exceeding his fundraising goal. He plans to “arrest” others this year.
Kate added that last year was fun. Everyone embraced the event and raised an incredible amount. The money will help children with illnesses. The support extends to young people, too.
You can contact Kate Romo to join in. Her email is kate.romo@chsw.org.uk. The CHSW website has more details, so look for information at www.chsw.org.uk/jail.
