Youths damaged a camera and threw objects at Kevin the emu at Barnton Bunker in Edinburgh, causing damage and concern.

Barnton Bunker is pretty unique. It’s a former RAF base that served as a nuclear shelter for the Royal Family and important people during the Cold War. Now, folks can take tours there, as it is located on Corstorphine Hill.
The business reported the youths caused damage, costing about £250 to the CCTV camera. They also pulled down part of the fence and threw rocks at Kevin.
The trouble happened on February 26 around 1:30 in the afternoon. The business is currently checking how bad the damage is.
The youths destroyed a CCTV camera by throwing rocks, ripping it down, and smashing it. Part of the fence was also torn down, which could have let the animals escape.
Someone’s parent came forward after the kids were seen throwing rocks at Kevin; luckily, he seems okay. A local high school informed the police, expressing sadness that they were targeted.
Photos show the youths by the fence wearing dark clothes, and their actions damaged the bunker. A local praised efforts to help them.
