Unicorn statues near Edinburgh Castle get a makeover, with new horns just in time for National Unicorn Day.

The unicorn horns went missing. The whiskey building is being fixed up. So, they will restore the horns, making the sculptures complete again.
The original horns used wood and lead. Ross Morris works at the Scotch Whisky Experience and enjoys woodworking. Ross will make new horns at home.
Ross wants to finish before April 9th, National Unicorn Day. The new horns will then be placed on the building.
Unicorns are immortal, according to legend. They sometimes need a little care. The statues are made from sandstone, oak, and lead.
The sandstone might contain dinosaur footprints. The Scotch Whisky Experience has many rare whiskies. The building restoration costs £750,000 and dates back to 1887.
The whisky experience will have unicorn themes. There will be unicorn cocktails in the bar soon. A unicorn trail will stretch down the Royal Mile while carvings can be seen at Edinburgh Castle and St Giles’ Cathedral. They plan a contest to name the statues.
