Edinburgh RNLI crews responded to multiple incidents, rescuing stranded people and searching for a missing person.

Friday’s call was their fourteenth of the year. The first call came Friday afternoon at 12:48 PM when someone became trapped by the rising tide on Cramond Island.
They took the person to the Coastguard at Cramond Village. The lifeboat was ready again by 1:50 PM. Another incident occurred at Granton Harbour later. The lifeboat went to Granton at 4:18 PM, but details about this specific event are unknown.
Next, they got a report of a missing person near Aberdour and responded around 6:38 PM. They searched between Braefoot and Burntisland. A Coastguard helicopter assisted the search, and another lifeboat helped, along with coast guards on land.
They found the missing person safe on shore and the search ended around 10:35 PM. Saturday brought more calls for help, with reports of people in the water. The pagers went off because of this at Cramond Causeway.
The lifeboat searched the causeway area carefully but found no one currently in the water there. Several people had already reached the shore safely. Two crew members checked on people stuck on the island, making sure everyone was safe and sound.
They also conducted a shoreline search. Another lifeboat and helicopter helped. They found nobody else in the water.
