Edinburgh Old Town Pub Reopens After Two Years Since Devastating Fire

That Edinburgh pub is open again. It had a bad fire two years back. The kitchen fire caused much damage. We mentioned its upcoming reopening in January. Now, the Royal Mile Tavern is fixed.

The fire happened in February 2023. Smoke poured out of the Old Town place. Crews rebuilt the pub carefully, installing a modern kitchen. A new food menu is ready too, and live music plays every day.

The closure was hard for everyone, taking months to fix the pub. Jim McDougall, who works for Iona Pub Partnership, spoke about welcoming people back.

The pub was fully gutted by the fire, but they kept the pub’s charm. Guests can enjoy better comfort with upgraded features now available. The tavern still feels familiar.

The Royal Mile Tavern has a new menu featuring popular pub food. They offer local dishes and craft beers. Wine and whisky flights are also available.

Simon Rankin, who manages operations for Bruce Taverns, also commented. He mentioned hosting fans visiting Edinburgh, aiming to provide a great atmosphere. Expect good food, drinks, and company.
