Ten Edinburgh and East Lothian properties topped views in January 2025, revealing buyer trends and budget ranges in Scotland.

Edinburgh had the most buyer interest that month, with seven of the ten properties in the capital city. East Lothian had three homes in the top ten list, located in Musselburgh, Ormiston, and Dunbar.
Three-bedroom houses proved popular last month, featured in six of the top ten listings. These included bungalows, semis, and terraced homes.
Two flats also made the top ten: a studio flat in Edinburgh’s West End and a two-bedroom flat in Portobello. January searches showed diverse budget ranges.
Four homes cost over £485,000, while six properties ranged from £210,000 to £315,000. The most expensive property listed for over £585,000.
ESPC’s CEO Paul Hilton commented on the trends: “Site interest surged as people considered moving. Popular listings included starter homes and family houses in convenient or desirable areas.”
