The building used to be 119 Bistro, known locally as The Goth. People criticized its use, as it hadn’t fully reopened in about two years.
The restaurant teased reopening after a long closure, staying closed for a year citing certain reasons. However, the reopening plans didn’t happen.
The previous owner confirmed new management: Giuliano’s group from Edinburgh now runs it. It will reopen soon as Milano Bar Restaurant.
The restaurant will remain Italian, serving both classic and new dishes. You can choose beers, wines, and cocktails. The takeaway keeps the name Paolo’s, and it will also have new management.
The team will share more details later, including an opening date and new menu. They’ll post this information online soon. The last post promised updates: the restaurant and takeaway will open again, managed by Giuliano’s group.
They will call the restaurant Milano Bar Restaurant, planning to offer Italian food and drinks. Paolo’s takeaway keeps its name, and new management will oversee it as well.
The previous owner thanks everyone for their support and wishes Giuliano and his team good luck. They now disassociate themselves from it.
Health issues and the pandemic made it tough, proving difficult to reopen after so long. These were past challenges mentioned.
