Ryan Bryden, an Edinburgh DJ, passed away at 36 after battling health issues. His mother remembers him fondly.

Ryan died on February 1. He was only 36 years old. He bravely fought health issues for a long time. In 2010, Ryan had a stroke. The stroke paralyzed him from the neck down.
Doctors thought Ryan would only live months. He proved them wrong by a lot. Ryan regained much use of his arms and hands. He lived 14 years longer than expected. Before his death, Ryan worked as a DJ.
Andrea Bryden honored her son. She said his life showed resilience and determination. Ryan faced relentless health battles. He also dealt with strokes and pneumonia. Hope always fueled him.
Ryan’s son, Cameron, gave him strength. He wanted Cameron to beat all odds. Ryan became very spiritual later in life. Faith gave him comfort. He lived life to the fullest.
He loved nightclubs and family events. Andrea said Ryan was a great brother. She also called him funny and upbeat. He contributed to arts and music. She feels heartbroken and misses him dearly. It was before his time to leave.
Ryan’s courage will inspire everyone. He leaves behind a legacy of hope. Ryan’s parents, siblings, and son survive him. He had five brothers and five sisters. His son’s name is Cameron.
The funeral will be on February 22 at 9 am. It will be at Old Parish Church in East Kilbride. After, they go to South Lanarkshire Crematorium. Refreshments follow at the Montgomerie Arms.
