Award-winning Cush restaurant in East Cork announces relocation to Midleton, promising an enhanced dining experience.

Dan Guerin opened Cush in 2020 at the pier in Ballycotton. The former Pier 26 building got a makeover, and the restaurant quickly became popular. People knew it for its Irish food.
Cush earned a Bib Gourmand in 2023, awarded by the Michelin Guide. They also won at the Irish Restaurant Awards, and Dan was nominated in 2021 for Young Chef of the Year.
The guesthouse and bar stay in Ballycotton; only the restaurant moves to Midleton, about 20km away. The team says they are growing, not leaving. Their last dinner service is February 16th.
It was an amazing time, the owners say, and they appreciate all of the support. This expansion creates a new beginning. The guesthouse and bar will remain open, serving breakfast as usual.
Watch for news on the Midleton opening; they look forward to seeing everyone. Midleton will gain a great restaurant. Some restaurants closed there last year, and this is a welcome boost for the town.
David and Fionnuala Smiddy, who own Pan, are opening Bó Burger, a new burger place on Main Street. Fans eagerly await Cush’s arrival.
