Firefighters from Dublin’s Dolphin’s Barn station receive a Peta award for saving Biscuit the cat from a house fire.

The firefighters controlled the fire quickly. They found an unconscious cat. The cat’s name was Biscuit. A firefighter named Carrick helped Biscuit using a pet oxygen mask. Biscuit revived after ten minutes.
The crew also saved a budgie and a dog. It was a brave rescue. Peta gave them a special award called “Hero to Animals”. Elisa Allen spoke for Peta, and she praised the firefighters’ actions.
Ingrid Newkirk, Peta’s founder, signed the award. The plaque honors D Watch. It recognizes their rescue of Biscuit and inspires others to help animals. Peta reminds owners to plan for emergencies, including fires and other dangers.
Have carriers ready for your pets. Put signs on doors to alert rescuers. Dublin Fire Brigade is testing pet oxygen masks, hoping to use them all over the city. Biscuit snuggled with his owner, and the budgie and dog were safe.
