American women were traumatized after a knife wielding man robbed their Dublin Airbnb on Talbot Street. Incident occurred early Sunday.

The Airbnb owner, Conal, spoke about it. He said the man entered the garden first and then got into the kitchen. The women locked themselves in the bedroom, trying to stay safe.
Conal said the intruder sliced a TV off the wall with a knife. The women were very scared. The man tried to exit but ended up breaking a window using a fire extinguisher to get out.
He then left through the door instead, next, he went onto the roof, and finally, he ran away. The women were very traumatized. They texted and called for help to the police, and the house manager called Conal.
The women packed their bags quickly after this and left the Airbnb. Conal gave them a full refund. He also had to fix the damage later and mentioned previous bad incidents.
Conal mentioned another incident years ago when a man entered with American tourists present. It was a young family in that case. That man returned weeks later, and they caught him then.
Conal stated this was the worst incident. He emphasized the intruder’s boldness, breaking into a home with women present and ripping the TV off the wall: a shocking act.
A police spokesperson confirmed the event. They got a report of a burglary that happened on Talbot Street on February 16th, 2025. The investigation is currently ongoing.
