A chef drove drunk, hit a Jaguar, and fled. He later apologized and was arrested in Middlesbrough.

Coloji drove his Renault Clio down the road, causing another driver to swerve to avoid him. The Clio then hit the back of the other car, a Jaguar, causing damage. Coloji briefly stopped after the crash.
He then drove away from the scene. Police later caught and arrested him; this all occurred in Middlesbrough. The prosecutor said Coloji used high beams, causing the Jaguar driver to swerve to avoid a crash.
The chef’s car still struck the Jaguar’s rear, damaging the Jaguar in the end. The driver followed Coloji after he fled and blocked him on Portman Street, a dead end location. Police then came after being called.
Coloji repeatedly apologized at the scene. Police saw he was clearly drunk, and he failed a roadside breath test. They arrested him promptly.
His breath alcohol level was 76; the legal limit is only 35. He admitted to driving drunk, and insurance was also absent during the event; he also failed to stop at the accident.
His lawyer said Coloji works as a chef and had no prior criminal record until this. The lawyer asked for leniency due to the pleas and asked for credit for his pleas.
The court fined Coloji £1,600 and banned him from driving for 22 months. Coloji lives on Egerton Street.
