Man arrested after police pursuit led to discovery of drugs, a knife, and a shotgun in Handsworth property raid.

It began in Soho on Wednesday, February 26. Officers chased a suspicious vehicle and stopped it on Tew Park Road.
The police searched a 34-year-old man after stopping his car. Officers discovered a knife and Class B drugs. They arrested him for having those items; they suspect he planned to sell the drugs.
After the arrest, police got a warrant and searched a house on Mount Pleasant Avenue, in Handsworth. Officers found the shotgun there and seized the firearm. The man was arrested again and is now also suspected of having a firearm illegally.
The police spokesperson said the Op Skybridge officers spotted the suspicious vehicle on Boulton Road, in Soho, leading to the man’s initial arrest.
The man remains in custody and police are questioning him. The Op Skybridge Team continues to fight crime and tackle issues important to the community.
