Woman hid £300k MDMA haul disguised as bath salts. Court orders her to pay only £1 despite profiting £88k.

The police caught a package at an airport. It held MDMA disguised as bath salts. Officials estimated its street value at £300,000. Abigail Kavanagh, 25, got arrested during a drug crackdown in Cardiff.
Border Force officers found the package last March. It arrived at East Midlands Airport. The package addressed Kavanagh directly. Inside, officials found 10kg of MDMA designed to look like bath salts to fool people.
Police searched Kavanagh’s phone after her arrest. Messages connected her to supplying spice. She sent spice to prisons across south Wales.
Judge Daniel Williams sentenced Kavanagh last year. He said she knew the risks involved. Kavanagh received seven years and six months in jail and lived in Ely.
A court held a hearing recently about crime proceeds. It showed Kavanagh gained £88,023 illegally. She has no money or assets now, so the judge ordered her to pay £1. If she fails, she will serve one more day.
