Two drug dealers received lengthy prison sentences for a revenge shotgun attack at Farmfoods. The total jail time exceeds 30 years.

The two drug dealers received long prison sentences, jailed for over 30 years total. A shooting at Farmfoods sparked this, seemingly an act of revenge.
Cogger drove to the supermarket in Smethwick using a stolen Ford Kuga. Mohamed got out of the car and started shooting at a rival group early in the morning on October 23, 2023.
Evidence suggests the shooting was retaliation linked to an event a day earlier. Cogger’s friend was stabbed on October 21 and taken to City Hospital, where an attacking group assaulted them with bats, forcing a hospital lockdown.
During the incident at the car park, Mohamed shot a man in the leg. Luckily, the injuries were not serious.
The court cleared Cogger and Mohamed of attempted murder. However, they were found guilty of a gun charge involving intent to endanger someone’s life.
The pair admitted to drug dealing. Police tracked them to a hotel in Birmingham in December 2023, where they found drugs and cash, including heroin and crack cocaine.
Police also seized phones linking them to dealing. Mohamed also admitted to handling stolen goods involving a Jaguar XF with fake plates stolen weeks prior in Smethwick.
The court deemed both men dangerous. Their sentences were extended at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday, February 13.
Cogger received 13 years and six months for the shooting. He received an additional year for drug crimes, bringing his total sentence to 14 years and six months.
Mohamed received 15 years for the gun offense. The drug crimes added another year and eight months. All sentences will run consecutively.
The judge called the shooting revenge, stating that they planned the attack and targeted a group of rival men. Cogger faced another sentence of four years and nine months stemming from previous charges.
These previous charges, the judge stated, were the result of stealing cars worth over £500,000. He was also guilty of affray involving an ex-partner in prior years.
Cogger’s defense lawyer stated Cogger lacked maturity and had a troubled background, losing his family and mother’s guidance.
Mohamed’s lawyer mentioned his past; born in Somalia, he experienced physical punishment and exposure to guns. His brother died in a terror attack.
Mohamed came to the UK and lived with his father, struggling in school. He got into drug dealing to make money, which he stated was the start of his problems.
