Drug Dealers Busted After Car Stop in Lancashire Nets Cocaine Stash

Two drug dealers are now in jail. Police stopped their car because the officers thought it looked suspicious. Zahoor Hussain, 39, drove the car, and Rayhan Khan, 18, sat in the passenger seat. They were in a black Volkswagen Jetta in Clitheroe when police stopped them on Henthorn Road.

Police said Khan tried hiding a bag of cocaine containing 11 smaller bags. They found more drugs near Khan, along with a phone and £105. Hussain also had a mobile phone with messages about drugs.

The incident occurred on March 31, 2022. Hussain lived on Lowergate Road in Accrington, while Khan lived on Brougham Street in Burnley. Both men received three-year jail sentences after a court appearance on Monday, February 10.

DC Tom Archer commented on the case, stating that these dealers are off the streets. He hopes this sends a strong message that police won’t tolerate drug dealing. Lancashire Police are serious about this, and a spokesperson also made a statement.

This action was part of Operation Warrior, which tackles serious crime and disrupts organized crime. This also supports Clive Grunshaw’s plan to fight crime effectively.
