Drone footage captures both Gloucester’s historical landmarks and the optimistic addition of The Forum building.

Lewis Whitter took these videos and shared them with Gloucestershire Live. He used his drone to film the city’s old and new buildings.
Lewis said he took the drone up near Guildhall because he loves architecture. The drone shows new views and gives a different perspective.
He feels proud of Gloucester and wanted to show everyone what the city should feel proud of. The Forum could boost the local economy and might create job opportunities, too.
Lewis thinks the Forum will fit in over time and look better with weathering and patience. It’ll find its place in the skyline.
The Forum project has city council backing, and Reef Group is the developer. The Forum will include offices, stores, restaurants, a hotel, and a roof bar.
The Forum has cool facades that mirror the nearby Cathedral cloisters. The Forum design includes 1,324 panels made of aluminum and glass.
Gloucester Cathedral’s start was in 1089, and the nave finished around 1130. King Edward’s tomb is inside. The Forum has a unique media facade with a big LED lighting system as part of its walls.
