Driver hurt in A96 crash near Inverurie. Van veered off road, hitting a tree. Police investigate.

The accident took place around 7:50 AM on Sunday, February 23rd. A white van veered off the road. The Vauxhall Vivaro hit a tree, resulting in a single-vehicle collision.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene. The driver, a 48-year-old man, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment of serious injuries.
Authorities closed the road after the crash, and it remained closed for over six hours. The road reopened around 12:10 PM. Police Scotland has started an investigation.
