A driver is found guilty of murder after chasing and running over an e-biker in Stechford. The victim died from injuries.

Abdirahman Ibrahim drove a white Seat Leon. He chased Jones and rammed his bike twice. The jury found Ibrahim, age 21, guilty. This happened at Birmingham Crown Court. Jones’ family showed emotion in court.
The jury reached a decision of ten to two. This was a retrial because the first jury failed. Jones and a friend biked into Birmingham on August 1. They went near the Bullring shopping center.
Around 11:30 p.m., they began riding home. They needed to recharge the e-bike batteries. Ibrahim’s car passed them on Coventry Road. He turned around and started following them. The prosecutor mentioned Jones did a wheelie. He suggested Ibrahim got annoyed by it.
Did Jones’ showboating make him angry? Did Ibrahim want to teach Jones a lesson? Jones and his friend left Coventry Road. They went down Harvey Road, a one-way street. They did this to escape the car following them.
Ibrahim caught them on Moat Lane. Jones’ friend escaped into a park. Jones traveled at 20 mph. The Seat reached 27 mph. The prosecutor called it deliberate targeting.
Ibrahim hit Jones’ bike twice from behind. Jones fell near Vera Road. Ibrahim fled. Police arrested him later. He claimed it was just competitive driving and admitted manslaughter.
The prosecution rejected this claim. They charged Ibrahim with murder instead. The prosecutor discussed Ibrahim’s intent. Did he mean to cause serious harm?
Ibrahim’s brother, Abdullahi, also age 21, admitted helping an offender. Both will be sentenced on March 26. They both lived on Bonham Grove, Yardley.
