Calderdale Council is checking the bins. They might get bigger bins soon, and staff could empty these faster. Senior council members know they must communicate better.
Councillor Parsons-Hulse spoke up at a council meeting. She talked about her area in Halifax, saying councillors were not told for a year and a half about bins in parks disappearing.
She said people keep asking where the bins went. Now, big piles of dog mess sit where bins used to be, and she wants people to know what’s going on.
Councillor Durrans says they can talk better. She said the council asked for ideas online to know where new bins should go.
Councillor Durrans said the review finished, and she talked to the green spaces team. Bigger bins came out, and others follow.
Councillor Durrans stated new bins help use resources well. She said she will tell people about the needed communication.
