DJ Mark Davis hosts a charity event in memory of his mum, Muriel, with proceeds going to Marie Curie and Dougie Mac.

Mark has already raised over £10,000. Past events helped Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s charities. He wants to raise more for Marie Curie and Dougie Mac. These helped his mom, Muriel Mary Davies. She passed away on January 2nd.
Mark loved his mom very much. She always put him first. He said his family didn’t have much money, but they had love and each other. They had what they needed.
His mom later worked in fashion. She supported him through college. Mark became ill in 2009. His father passed away before this. He then looked after his mom.
His mom was strong but had health issues. She spent over 120 days in the hospital. Doctors could not do anything more for her. She wanted to be home for her final days. Marie Curie and Dougie Mac made it happen.
Mark will play vinyl records at the event. It will be classic tunes from the Hacienda and Shelleys clubs. It is his fourth charity event.
Mark’s DJ career started in 1988. He played house and indie music then. He played at Entropy and Kinetic. He also DJ’d with Pete Bromley.
Tony Mills and Daf Price will also DJ. Andre Titley and Andrew Foddy will join them too. The event is from 8 PM to 2 AM. Last entry is at 11:15 PM. Tickets are £5 via Skiddle.
