Disabled man frustrated by able-bodied drivers using disabled parking at local sports center.

The sports center has disabled parking spots, but they are often full of other cars. Paul says able-bodied drivers use them, and he has told the staff about his parking issues. Unfortunately, they said they couldn’t do much.
Paul wants them to put up signs that warn about fines to deter improper parking. He thinks that is possible, even on private land.
Matt Wise, who runs the leisure centre, knows disabled parking is important. The car park has 65 public spaces, and four spaces are for disabled people, meeting the minimum required percentage.
While they cannot legally tow cars on private land, they ask drivers to move if needed. They also place notices on improperly parked cars and tell people to respect blue badge spaces.
They plan to address this issue actively by reminding members to respect spaces. The Highway Code states you must never park in disabled spaces, emphasizing the importance of respecting these spaces.
A staff member apologized to Paul in person. Paul, who isn’t easily offended, now worries about others with less mobility. He wants more disabled parking and warning signs posted.
