Mid Devon wants new development ideas. They asked landowners, developers, and groups to share land proposals. The call started February 6 and ends March 14. It updates land knowledge from 2021.

The council will use submissions for a new local plan. Council staff and industry experts will assess potential sites. They will look at housing, jobs, energy, and habitats. HELAA will publish the findings.

This assessment will guide future planning. Councilor Keable wants people to suggest development sites. These sites can be for housing and economic growth. Renewable energy and habitat creation are also options.

Small to medium sites are especially welcome. They help small businesses create custom builds, and aid community projects thrive.
The council has contacted those who applied in 2021. You can submit sites online at www.middevon.gov.uk/HELAA-CallForSites.

Note: a site submission is not a project application, does not guarantee permission later, and doesn’t ensure inclusion in a plan.
