They found Jonathan Wilson’s body. He was missing for over a week, and the inquest confirmed it was him.

Police asked for help to find Jonathan. He was last seen November 22, 2024, in Sidmouth. Searches did not reveal his location. He was 55 years old.

Police were called to Seaton on the morning of November 30 where they found a body.

The inquest started February 12 at Exeter County Hall. Deborah Archer is the area coroner. Jonathan Wilson lived in Sidmouth and was born in Winchester.

He was single when he died and worked as a graphic designer. His death was recorded on November 30, occurring on the Esplanade in Seaton. They found Jonathan Wilson in the water off Seaton beach.

Emergency services went to Seaton seafront on November 30 after someone reported a body in the water. The body went back to the shoreline and they identified him as Jonathan. His cause of death was asphyxia resulting from drowning.

Ms. Archer stopped the hearing. A full inquest will happen later.
