Two Devon properties face closure orders due to antisocial behavior and suspected drug activity, aiming to restore community safety.

Folks said they thought people used drugs there and complained about constant bad behavior. These homes had lots of fights and problems, both inside and outside.
One home got a partial closure, so only certain people can go inside now. The other home got a full closure; no one can enter this place at all.
A court in Newton Abbot made the orders on February 12th and 13th. The orders last three months and aim to stop crime.
They are helping affected people by sending them to different support groups. They want to keep them safe and stop future crimes while the order exists.
A police inspector, James Johnson, said they don’t decide this easily. They try to stop bad things first by talking to people. If that doesn’t work, they try closure orders.
He said this isn’t a perfect, long-term fix, but it does point things in a better direction. Cops will keep talking to people to fix the homes’ problems.
He thanked everyone who reported things, saying they couldn’t have done it without the reports. He reassured other people with problems that anything making you scared won’t be tolerated.
He hopes people keep reporting crime so they can continue listening and taking action to help the community.
