Police in Torquay seized MDMA, cannabis, and ketamine with the help of a drug-sniffing dog, Polly, at a train station.

Plainclothes cops joined uniformed officers, and Polly, the drug dog, played a key role, checking station entrances and exits, and sniffing for drugs.
A police chief, Miranda Pusey, spoke about the work, emphasizing their aim to stop drug movement and deter drug criminals. Polly signaled on some people, leading to police stops. Drugs were seized during the operation, including MDMA, cannabis, and ketamine, along with drug equipment. The police investigation is ongoing.
Chief Inspector Pusey expressed positive feelings about the drug removal. She noted that operations like this are short-lived because criminals quickly become aware. She considered the day a success and stated that these operations will continue throughout the year to make South Devon difficult for drug criminals.
Pusey also wants the public’s help and encouraged reporting suspicious activity so police can respond. She believes working together improves safety.
Ian Henderson, from transport police, stated that they fight county lines activity. They share resources to catch transporters, arresting criminals, and protecting vulnerable people. They’re stopping criminal gangs and preventing drugs from harming communities together. He believes the work is showing progress.
