Hey, guess what I just read? That old care home in Nettleham might get torn down. You know, Linelands? It’s been closed since 2012. They shut it down because of funding changes.

Walker & Son wants to build new homes there. They want to put up housing for older people. The place is on All Saints Lane, near the school. It used to have lots of beds and daycare spots. They cared for folks with dementia.

They even had places for intense care. The care home shut during some council cuts. The building’s not in good shape inside. It’s been for sale for a while now.

Someone living nearby said it’s ugly. They are glad their house doesn’t face it. The new plans include sixteen homes. There will be flats and houses.

Everyone will have access to a garden. It will be right in the middle. The layout should promote neighborhood interaction. The care home opened way back in 1967.

It cost £87,000 back then. It housed forty-four older adults. The plans are with the local council. They will decide on this later.
