Residents fear deer are stranded after habitat loss. Authorities are involved in the animal welfare situation.

Residents are saying the deer’s home is being destroyed. They’re scared for the animals near Hyde Park. So, they called the RSPCA to ask for help.
But the group said they could not help those animals. The RSPCA told them to call the cops if deer wander onto the road. A local person called it “completely out of order.”
A local councillor, Andrew Colbourne, is also worried about the deer and asked for help. He contacted the British Deer Society. They talked about what could happen to the deer.
The Deer Society says moving deer is normal and they do not have special protections. Also, catching wild deer is illegal without a license.
They said the deer might leave on their own at night. But if the deer can’t move safely, they might cull them, meaning humanely killing the animals. They would do this early in the morning.
However, deer can adjust to new places. These deer might already be moving around, they think. If their home is gone, they must move on to somewhere else.
The RSPCA and the town have been asked to talk. However, the police didn’t comment on the situation.
