One man drove the wrong way on the M42. His passenger died as a result. Another driver ran a red light and hit a stolen car. Elsewhere, a man lost control at a car meet. He drove into a crowd where two teenagers were killed.
Thomas O’Brien-Wood drove drunk on the wrong side of the M42, crashing and killing his passenger. Police stopped chasing him earlier due to his driving. Later, he entered the M42 on the wrong slip road and crashed into another car. Harry Smart, age 20, died, and O’Brien-Wood got over seven years in jail.
Arjun Dosanjh and Jacek Wiatrowski killed an 81-year-old woman going home from her temple, Surinder Kaur. Wiatrowski and Dosanjh raced each other. Wiatrowski braked for Mrs. Kaur, but Dosanjh swerved to avoid Wiatrowski, hitting her. Both got six years in jail.
Connor Jones drove after using laughing gas and cannabis and crashed head-on into another car while speeding. No one wore seatbelts. Kane Foster, age 18, died, and Jones got twelve years. Shazad Alam killed Azaan Khan, age 12, who was cycling on Coventry Road.
Alam drove 53-62 mph in a lower speed limit zone. Alam weaved through traffic and was jailed for over eight years. Dhiya Al Maamoury lost control of his Nissan Skyline, hitting pedestrians on the sidewalk, killing two teens and hurting two others. Liberty Charris, 16, and Ben Corfield, 19, died, and he got over thirteen years in jail.
Nirvair Lall killed his friend while drunk driving, crashing into a tree. His friend, Inderjot Singh, died. Lall was speeding. Police checked his electronic tag. The crash happened three years after a robbery they committed.
