Driving near Dartford Crossing soon? Some tunnel closures are planned. The taller, right-hand tunnel closes two nights this week. Expect closures Wednesday, February 26, and Thursday, February 27. Each night, it will close from 11 PM to 5:30 AM for work.

The left-hand tunnel stays open then. This handles northbound A282 and M25 traffic. This is for trips between Kent and Essex. But, some tall vehicles face limits.

Vehicles between 4.8m and 5.0m have a height restriction. Those taller vehicles need a different route. They’ll use the M25 clockwise as a detour. Also, regular safety checks happen each weekend.

These are set for March 1 and March 2. Both tunnels face closures at various times. Next week, the west tunnel closes regularly. These weeknight closures run Monday to Friday.

Plan for these nightly closures from 9 PM to 6 AM. Remember, these times might change quickly. Check updates before traveling. Closures for February 24 to March 9 include no closures February 24-25.

February 26-27 brings east tunnel closures from 11 PM to 5:30 AM. March 1 has a west tunnel closure from 10 PM to 5 AM. March 2 brings an east closure at the same time. March 3-7 means nightly west tunnel work from 9 PM to 6 AM.

March 8 sees the west tunnel closed from 10 PM until 5 AM. The east tunnel closes March 9, 10 PM to 5 AM. Taller vehicles are affected. For the east tunnel, smaller vehicles use the west tunnel.

Taller vehicles (4.8m-5.0m) use the M25 clockwise. For west tunnel closures, use the east tunnel. Plan your trip with these changes in mind.
