A woman died in a shooting at a pub in Knockholt, Kent on Valentine’s Day evening. The victim was a woman in her 40s.

Police believe the suspect entered the water at the Dartford Crossing, where they found a car and gun. The bridge connects Essex and Kent. Someone reported seeing a man near the bridge barrier.

Reports indicate the suspect likely knew the woman, and that neither person lived in Kent, though both had links to the area. Police are only seeking one suspect and believe the public is safe.

A detective said they received a report about a man by the barrier. It’s possible he went into the water. They are assisting the families involved.

Police arrived at the pub around 7 PM on Friday. The pub is near Sevenoaks. The woman died at the scene. A witness heard a “commotion” and then learned someone had been shot.

Another village resident heard what sounded like bangs, along with a woman shouting loudly. The incident has affected those nearby.
