Plan ahead! The Dartford Crossing faces closures for inspections and repairs from February 17th to 23rd, affecting tunnel traffic.

The west tunnel closes weeknights from 9 PM to 6 AM, starting Monday and ending Friday. The east tunnel stays open then, allowing northbound traffic to pass.
The west tunnel also closes Saturday night for usual safety checks, from 10 PM to 5 AM. Again, the east tunnel will stay open to handle all northbound traffic.
Sunday night, the east tunnel shuts until Monday morning at 5 AM. Northbound vehicles over 4.8 meters can’t use it. Check below for alternate routes.
The big bridge, QEII, won’t close. However, these plans can change quickly, so remember to check before you go. Other roads in Kent close too next week, including the A20, M2, M20, and M25.
The west tunnel closes weeknights from February 17th to the 21st, between 9 PM and 6 AM nightly. The west tunnel also closes Saturday, February 22nd, from 10 PM to 5 AM. On Sunday, February 23rd, the east tunnel closes from 10 PM to 5 AM, with no vehicles over 4.8 meters allowed to pass.
When the east tunnel closes, use the west, unless you’re over 4.8 meters tall; then use the M25 going clockwise. If the west tunnel closes, use the east tunnel.
