Darlington may ban pigeon feeding due to health concerns. The council reviews anti-social behavior and reckless bike use.

Signs already warn against feeding birds in places like High Row. But, people keep doing it anyway. The bird population causes several problems. The council has tried other solutions before.
They also plan to crack down on reckless bike use and people doing tricks on bikes and skateboards. This damages property and endangers people. They want riders to be careful and considerate, avoiding stunts that could cause harm.
The current rules address some problems already, dealing with public drinking after someone is asked to stop and refusing to give up alcohol. The rules cover begging and threatening behavior, too.
There were over 200 anti-social behavior reports last year. The council is reviewing rules for other issues, including begging, stray dogs, and waste. Council members vote on these plans next Tuesday.
If approved, they will start a public consultation. The new rules could start around July 1st. So, big changes might be coming to Darlington!
