A driver is jailed after a high-speed chase near Cheshire, UK. Police used a stinger to stop him after dangerous driving.

The chase started early one Thursday after police got calls about a black truck. The truck was hitting cones near junction 19 and driving all over the M6.
Police found the truck near Middlewich at junction 18. They tried to stop it, but he sped off. He exited the highway at Sandbach, at junction 17.
A police helicopter joined the chase. Police followed him through towns toward Middlewich, where he drove really fast. Police used a stinger to stop him, and the chase ended safely on Honiton Way.
Perkins tried to run, but police caught him fast. He got charged with crimes and pleaded guilty in court. The charges included dangerous driving, and he also refused a test.
Perkins is 35 years old and got 17 months in jail. He can’t drive for almost three years and must retake his driving test, too.
A police chief praised the teamwork involved. Different police units helped catch him and stopped a driver who risked public safety.
