Cliff Tamou, a 58-year-old father, died after being hit by a car on the M6. The Toyota driver was arrested.

Cliff got out of his truck and a Toyota Avensis then hit him. He died right there at the scene. Police arrived at 9:55 pm on February 27, finding a Toyota and a white MAN truck.
The Toyota driver is 22 and from Dudley. He went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested him for dangerous driving causing death.
Cliff’s family gave a touching tribute. Cliff moved to the UK from New Zealand and lived in Wigan for over 30 years. He was a husband, father, and grandfather.
He drove lorries for many years and enjoyed rugby as a player, referee, and coach. The family wants privacy during this hard time.
