New pedestrian crossing construction at Hen Lane and Wheelwright Lane junction causes traffic disruptions. Expect delays until March 21.

Coventry council stated they are adding new crossing buttons. They think it will improve things, wanting the junction crossing to become simpler and safer.
Work began on February 10, a Monday and road closures stay until March 21, that Friday. Hen Lane and Wheelwright Lane have these closures in place.
Drivers need to steer clear of that area if possible, as they have put in temporary traffic lights. Council member Lancaster said delays will probably happen, with the work lasting about six weeks.
Workers will be on-site each day from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM. Council member Lancaster is happy about this project and said Coventry will finally improve things for pedestrians.
The council posted an update on platform X, mentioning the work also affects Holbrook Lane. They are improving pedestrian access there, making crossing the road easier, but expect traffic delays in that area.
