A new sports centre is coming to Coventry, replacing an old MOT site near a Gurdwara temple. Focus on kids and revised hours.

This new place will connect to the nearby Gurdwara temple. The council needs to tweak one small rule, though. They must review a specific detail about the project.
The centre will focus on kids aged five to sixteen. They plan martial arts and soft play areas. Someone will supervise at all times.
The centre’s original hours were 9 AM to 5 PM daily. The plan now is to change those hours. The current times are too limited, they say. Kids are at school most of that time on weekdays.
They would not get time to use the centre. Families go to the Temple more in the evening. This is when kids could use the centre. Adults could use the center for boxing. Adults could also use it for wrestling and weights in the morning or evening. A similar centre on Cross Road opens earlier. It also closes later too.
They want the hours changed to 7:30 AM to 9 PM daily. Staff will supervise it fully at all times. Council officers are now looking at the request. They will decide soon.
